There's gotta be some truth to that. I think Kyle Petty said it about John Andretti...they ran laps with Kyle out front, pushing the car hard, then he got in behind John and Kyle thought he must be slower because of how smooth and boring he was. Turned out Andretti was actually quicker.

I don't know if the is the scca. Rules might be different if some other group is hosting it.
